‘Midnight Sons’ is a love story ‘yes’, but it’s also a realism romance exploring the varying politics of race and identity, amid an interplay of ‘intersectional-isms‘ such as gender/class and the debris of brokenness … so, an aftermath AND a re-discovery/new beginning … the ‘what comes after bit?’
